Liss Village Hall

The Village Hall is a registered charity which is managed by Liss Parish Council.  The hall was donated to Liss Parish Council by Mrs Money-Coutts in 1887.

The hall is available for hire, 7 days a week, up to 11pm.

80 – 100 people can be seated at tables in a herringbone arrangement for a party.
A maximum of 133 people can be seated for a public meeting.
Hirers may make use of the stage, although we request that no chairs be put on this.
No bookings will run later than 11pm (including tidying up time).

The hall is regularly booked at the following times:

Monday
10.20 to 11.35 - Keep Fit
19.30 to 22.00 - LPC Council Meeting (3rd Monday of every month)
18.15 to 19.30 - Yoga (every other Monday)

Tuesday
9.30 to 12.30 - NCT
18.00 to 19.00 - Boxercise
20.00 to 22.30 - Dance Class

Wednesday
09.30 to 10.30 - Pilates
14.00 to 16.00 - Liss Village Club (1st Wednesday of every month)

Thursday
8.30 to 14.30 - WRVS Luncheon Club
18.00 to 19.00 - Pilates
19.20 to 20.50 - Keep Fit

Friday
09.00 to 16.00 - NCT (most Fridays)
18.45 to 20.45 - Guides (term-time only)

Saturday
9.30 to 12.30 - Action Drama (term-time only)

All bookings are considered under the following guidelines:

Children’s parties:
Discos are permitted
Bouncy castles are permitted
Hirers may put up decorations, although blutak – not sellotape – must be used
Decorations may be put up at the Hirer’s own risk. Should the Hirer wish to decorate the hall, Liss Parish Council accept no responsibility whatsoever for any injuries that occur as a result of this
Parties for children 12-14 years old require a damage waiver deposit.

Items available within the Hire Agreement:
Small tea plates
Cups and saucers
Dinner plates, side plates, bowls & cutlery (90 settings available)
14 tables measuring 2’ by 6’. Each table can seat up to 8 people

Items not available within the hire agreement:
Tea towels and dish cloths
Washing up liquid
Cutlery
Large plates
Refuse bags

Current rates until March 2011

Daytime weekday (up to 7pm) - £7.00 per hour
Evening weekday (7-11pm) - £11.00 per hour
Daytime weekend (up to 7pm) - £7.80 per hour
Evening weekend (7-11pm) - £12.75 per hour
