The Council supports a wide range of community groups and makes contributions to local capital projects. Finance Committee considers and determines the main round of applications in November each year as part of the budget setting process. For these grants, which are payable at the beginning of the next financial year in April, application forms need to be submitted by the 30th of September.  Grants may be considered at other times for a purpose which has arisen during the year so long as funds are available. 

In April 2023 grants were made to the following organisations: East Hampshire Citizens Advice Bureau, Liss Area Historical Society, Home Start Butser, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Victim Support, Rake Village Hall and St. Mary's Church. A grant to The Triangle Community Centre is dependant on project deliverability.

Liss Parish Council is also supporting the following by a Grant in Kind, specifically free or reduced rate use of the Village Hall: Liss Royal Voluntary Service Luncheon Club, Liss, Greatham & Hawkley Friendship Fund and Coryton Alms Houses, in addition to the provision of services to the Newman Collard Playing Fields Trust.
