Network Rail Line Upgrades

Liss village benefits from having a railway station which is on the mainline from Portsmouth to London Waterloo.

Network Rail will be carrying out a large programme of work between early 2022 and late 2024 to improve reliability, journey times and potential capacity. The Farncombe to Petersfield Resignalling Scheme ("F2P") includes the following planned improvements:
Major resignalling project
Upgrades to level crossings
Renewing sections of track and switches

Liss Parish Council working with Network Rail

Liss Parish Council have been working with Network Rail to ensure the planned F2P scheme brings about positive changes within Liss village.

Member of Liss Parish Council met with representatives of Network Rail on 14th September 2022 to discuss the planned line upgrades. During this meeting Liss Parish Council were able to make proposals based on comments received from residents during the Village Centre Project 2022 community consultation.
