Village Gateways

Liss Parish Council have been working with Hampshire County Council and the South Downs National Park Authority to design bespoke timber gateways with personalised village entry signs for each of the gateways into Liss village.

We have been awarded a Section 106 Grant (“S106”) from SDNPA to fund the gateways. S106 is money collected from developers' contributions when new houses are built. It may only be spent on capital projects that provide new or improved community or social infrastructure, where a new development has, at least in part, contributed to the demand for the project. S106 cannot be used for on-going running or maintenance costs (e.g. potholes).
